01What is a Fractional AI Operator?
A Fractional AI Operator provides ongoing AI consulting and hands-on implementation through a monthly retainer. I learn how your business runs, help choose what to fix, build the systems, and keep improving them with your team. That can include automation, reporting, connected software, and growth systems.
02When does ongoing support make sense?
It makes sense when your team uses systems every week and needs regular help keeping them working or improving them. That might be recurring reporting, customer follow-up, or handoffs between tools. If you have one clearly defined problem to fix, a separate build may be enough.
03What is included in the monthly retainer?
The retainer can cover planning, implementation, maintenance, and team support for the systems we agree on. You get an agreed priority list, a record of changes and open issues, updated instructions, and a review of what changed and what comes next. We specify the work, communication, response expectations, software costs, and separately quoted projects in the proposal.
04How much does a Fractional AI Operator cost?
Monthly pricing depends on the systems I cover, the ongoing work, and the support your team needs. You get a quote and agreed scope before we start. The starting point is a $999 Business Systems Audit: one 90-minute owner session and a roadmap within five business days. Most first builds run $1,500–$5,000 and are scoped separately from ongoing support. Your $999 audit fee goes toward your first build if you move forward with me. It comes off the quoted build price. The roadmap is yours either way.
05How is this different from a one-off automation project?
A one-off project delivers a defined system with testing, documentation, and a team handoff. A monthly engagement gives you ongoing implementation and responsibility for the agreed systems. I keep the business context, review priorities with you, and carry the next changes through. If one build solves the problem, a project may be enough; the retainer fits work that needs regular attention or improvement.
06What happens if a system breaks?
Before work starts, we agree how problems are reported, which systems I cover, the response expectations, and who handles anything outside that scope. Those details go in the proposal. If something needs a larger fix or a change in scope, I explain it and agree the next step with you.
07Who owns the systems and accounts?
You keep ownership of your business accounts and the systems I build for you. I document the work and show your team how to run it. We agree the access I need and which changes require your approval. Ongoing support is a separate choice after the build.
08Do you only work with Kansas City businesses?
Kansas City is my home base. I also work remotely with businesses elsewhere in the United States when we can review the work through calls, documents, and the tools your team uses.
